About this Course:

The Training Challenges workers to understand their own story within the work, helping them understand the elements of themselves that they bring into their practice.

Participants will spend time examining and dealing with their own biases and triggers as well as exploring how to set appropriate boundaries with the families they serve- ensuring that are recognizing themselves through intentional self-care. 

In addition, time will be spent creating strength-based paren’t profile and take part in role-playing activities.

This training is recommended for all Operations Staff, including:

  • Professional Foster Parents
  • Child Welfare Specialists
  • Clinical Therapists
  • Relief Parents
  • Family Support Specialists
  • Program Assistants
  • Managers & Supervisors

This training is open to all SOS Children's Villages Illinois employees.
